The third largest pumped storage hydropower plant in the world and the largest hydroelectric power plant in the Czech Republic. Most of the buildings are located underground, the buildings on the surface are carefully integrated into the surrounding nature and create a harmonious whole with it.

Paper Museum in Velké Losiny

The unique manufactory represents the creation of (un) ordinary paper, which has accompanied humanity for thousands of years. The paper factory in Velké Losiny is one of the oldest and longest-running companies of its kind in Europe.

Gold ore mills in Zlaté Hory

The Olešnice river has been storing gold here for millions of years, and it has been mined here since ancient times. Today, a replica of a medieval mining town is being built in the valley. In operation are two log cabins rising to crush gold ore and a gold ore mill, made according to period drawings. You can try panning for gold! The nature trail also leads to a place with an admirable optical illusion, where water flows uphill.
